What Should I Do Now?
In California, divorce is the changing of legal status from married to unmarried and is separate from issues like spousal support (alimony), property division, and child custody.
In California, the popular term “alimony” has been renamed “spousal support.”
You must first recognize that you have a legal obligation to support your spouse.
When you divorce, the court will have to divide up your property. Most assets in which either spouse has an interest in are property subject to division upon divorce. This means any real or personal property.
Parents who divorce will need to have a plan for deciding how their children will be cared for and where they will live or spend time. If they don't have a plan, the court will decide for them what their plan will be.
Parents have an equal responsibility to support their children in a way suitable to the child’s circumstances. Child support is the amount of money that parents pay to help with the support of their children.
Domestic violence is abuse or threats of abuse (verbal, emotional, or psychological) when the person being abused and the abuser are or have been in a certain type of intimate relationship, such as family members.

"My divorce was so difficult and Jeff helped me through it and made it easy on my family and me."
"At first I was very skeptical about working with an attorney, but after working with Jeff, I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a good attorney. I can't thank you enough for your support."
