Many years ago, the divorce process intrigued Jeffrey Lalloway when a close friend was going through a very painful divorce. He tried to help his friend get through this very difficult and emotional period by giving his friend all of the support possible.
He saw his friend lose everything that he had worked so hard to build, including his business. At that time, Jeff decided to devote himself to helping others going through difficult divorces.
When working with people who are divorcing, Jeff tries to make the process as painless as possible. He understands the severe emotional and financial burden that people carry while suffering through their divorce.
His practice tries to make the entire process as comfortable as possible. In short, he is devoted to create a practice where divorce is different here.
He is proud of the divorces he has handled where his clients have been able to get what they want—be it keeping their assets or maximizing the support they get. He is also gratified by the parents he has helped to work out a custody situation that allows for frequent and continuous contact with their children.
But Jeff is most proud of his beautiful daughters, Regan and Sydney, and his wife, Laura, a cancer research specialist and Medical Science Liaison for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company.
Jeffrey didn’t get married and have children until after his fortieth birthday. Having 2 little girls has given Jeffrey a deep appreciation of the real love that parents have for their children and how horrible it is to have to fight for time to spend with them through the divorce system.
He has seen judges make decisions that have torn families apart and he has vowed to do whatever he can to help his clients avoid losing touch with their beautiful children.
His family have opened their home to 2 other family members, his Pugs, Rocky and Sammy. Like most people, he loves when he walks in the door and his dogs and his kids rush to his side to hug him and lick his face.
Jeffrey earned his law degree in 1989 from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and his Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. Before moving to California, he worked for several large law firms in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the California Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, the Los Angeles Bar Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. You can check out his bar registration here.
His commentaries on financial and economic issues have been featured in magazines in newspapers including Time, People USA Today, the Orange County Register and the Daily Breeze. Prior to going into private practice, Jeffrey worked in the Philadelphia office of the U.S. Attorney.
When Jeff was younger, his family used to come to support Jeff when he raced his bicycle around Southern California. Although no longer a competitor because of the various business and community activities he is involved with, Jeff still loves riding his bike around Orange County’s beautiful roads and trails. His little girls are now are able to join him on many of his rides.
In his spare time, if there is such a thing, Jeff volunteers his time serving on the Irvine City Council as the Mayor Pro Tem and the Orange County Transportation Authority as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In addition to those areas, he further tries to give back to his community by serving on the Boards of the Orange County Great Park (he is a former Chairman of the Board), the Irvine Educational Partnership Fund, the Orange County Fire Authority, the Irvine Veteran’s Ad Hoc Housing Partnership, Metrolink train service, the Vice Chairman, South, of the California Republican Party and on the Republican Party of Orange County as its Treasurer.
